Congratulations to Mary Napoleon and the Golden Gate Branch on successful attainment of 501 (c)(3) status.  It is a time consuming tedious process, but well worth the effort.  We commend Golden Gate Branch for their tenacity.

One of the new branches, chartered in Los Angeles, Charlotte Metropolitan Music Association, Inc. (CMMA), led by Mr. Tony McNeill, is in the process of applying for tax-exempt status 501 (c)(3).  We wish him and that branch much success in that process.  There is also the possibility of a Youth Branch being born from CMMA.  It is good to see the excitement generated by this new branch and we are very proud and happy for their accomplishments.

New Arts Musique hosted the Southern Region meeting in Shreveport, LA March 27, 2004.  There was representation from all branches in the Southern Region.  Congratulations on a well-planned, hospitable and productive meeting.

Some attendees stayed over to enjoy the recreational activity that Shreveport and Bossier City have to offer.  Several attendees improved the muscle strength in their arms and as a result helped the local economy and came away feeling a little in the pockets.
