Greetings from the 2nd
Vice President
To our Regional Directors, Branch
Presidents and National officers and members, we will be using
this method of communication to keep in touch and share
information with you about our illustrious and historic
organization. We want to hear from you regarding your concerns
and ideas that will help us to grow and flourish. Please take
the time to read this newsletter and share it with your
membership.
This newsletter will be sent
electronically to those whose email addresses are on record and
“snail mail” for those whose email addresses I do not have.
Please send your email address and all contact information to me
ASAP.
Earlier in the year we had been
asked by President Roland Carter to bring in new members. I
hope each branch has been successful in this endeavor. Please
use the contact information to let me know of your success in
this area. Let us know what methods you use to attract new
members.
Please encourage your membership
to attend the National Meeting in Detroit, to be held August
1-6, 2004, at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center Hotel.
The 85th Anniversary Celebration will be the greatest
yet, and you will not want to miss our NANM, Inc. Gala featuring
the one and only Jessye Norman. Pre-registration is
essential for planning purposes and we encourage all who will be
attending to pre-register. Your Branch President has the
registration forms. The pre-registration deadline is May 31st.
Members of the Executive
Committee would love to know your Branch meeting dates,
the date of your Regional meeting and your Branch activity
dates. If any of us are in your area, we would love to drop by
and pay you a visit. If your branch publishes a newsletter,
consider sharing with other branches by putting the Branch
presidents on your mailing list.
Please feel free to offer any
suggestions regarding this method of communication and I look
forward to hearing from you with your feedback.
