A full-time, non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will direct the University Chorale of Boston College (150-member chorus) and the Chamber Singers (12-18 members); oversee, manage and coordinate other department vocal ensembles; and supervise a program of individual vocal lessons and its part-time faculty. The successful candidate will mentor students with an interest in performance, will develop strategies for the growth of performance opportunities and will teach two undergraduate courses in theory and/or music history for credit each year. Candidates may propose other areas of teaching specialization. Duties include student advising and oversight of independent studies.

Qualifications: Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in music and be able to demonstrate an outstanding record as a choral conductor with notable experience as an accomplished vocalist or instrumentalist. Candidates with at least 5 years' experience at the college level preferred.
