Celebrating the resilience of African and Black American musical traditions that magnifies the power of wind and percussion instruments in our classical heritage.
​It is with great anticipation that we invite you to attend the upcoming NANM National Convention, to be held July 18 - 23, 2026 in Norfolk, Virginia at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. Our workshops and offerings will feature various concerts, workshops, and clinics, including the NANM Scholarship Competition for Woodwinds & Brass, the New Century Competition for Percussion, the William Warfield Masterclass, Eastern Region Night Concert, and the Gala Awards Banquet​. A complete schedule of workshops, clinics, performances, and much more, is forthcoming. This year's convention will be an event you will not want to miss! Registration opens November 1, 2025.
