$106 for 106 Years of Musical Legacy
Join NANM’s first National Fundraiser

Support our mission to preserve and promote

African American music and musicians.

For 106 years, the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc. (NANM) has been a powerful force in shaping American music. We are the hidden chapter in music history textbooks, the silent mentors behind countless careers, the reason a young musician of color could dream boldly and study deeply.

NANM is a mighty tree, rooted in resilience, nourished by legacy, and with a resolute strength continues to branch across this nation. Even though many of our branches work quietly and without much fanfare, each one supports the growth of artists, educators, and visionaries who are shaping the future of music. Together, we stand on a firm foundation, grounded in more than a century of musical integrity, while we continue to reach into the future.

And now, for the first time ever, we’re inviting our community, members, non-members, youth, former national winners, patrons of the arts, and friends to join our first national fundraiser: #NANM106.

What is #NANM106?
On May 3, 1919, the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc. was founded.  Starting May 3, 2025, we are celebrating 106 years of NANM with a special giving campaign.

Give $106 in honor of our 106th year.  Even our youth & junior members can contribute $10.60 to celebrate their place in our legacy.  This campaign ends May 26, 2025.

Your gift supports:

  • Scholarships for young Black musicians

  • Historic preservation of African American musical contributions

  • Local & national performance opportunities

  • Mentorship, competitions, and cultural programming

Let’s make this moment unforgettable.
Help us fund the next 106 years of excellence in Black music!
