Applied Voice/Commercial Music (Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor)

Position Summary	Recruit and train undergraduate and graduate students who are preparing for professional careers in singing in all genres of the music industry – musical theatre, pop, opera, and future music educators; Be proficient in healthy vocal pedagogy techniques for belting and jazz techniques, in addition to standard classical vocal techniques; Additional classroom assignments made based on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the School of Music.
Required Qualifications	MM in Vocal Performance or MM in Musical Theatre; DMA preferred (ABD considered); Outstanding performance skills; Successful college teaching experience; Qualifications to teach applied voice to students pursuing all genres of the vocal profession – musical theatre, commercial voice, classical, opera, pop, and rock; Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications	DMA preferred (ABD considered).
