Artist Development Representative (ECE)


EastCoast Entertainment (ECE) is expanding our Artist Services department and we are seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to help develop our artists as an ECE Artist Development Representative.

The Artist Development Representative (ADR) is a multifaceted position that will be responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining the quality and number of artists we represent in various geographical regions to meet the demand for live entertainment at events. This includes recruitment and development of new talent as well as oversight of existing Exclusive ECE Artists. The ADR will oversee aspects of artist promotional material needs and marketing potential to get them ready to shoot a 2–4-minute promotional sales video. The ADR will be responsible for bringing artists to a level that executes the master vision of ECE and the clients we serve.

The ADR will provide critique, support, and expertise to artists to create promotional videos as well as improve existing promotional material quality and increase the number of dates booked for that artist. The ADR will report to the Artist Services Committee and is expected to work cooperatively with all company leadership, departments, employees, and the Executive Producer/Director.


Ideally we are seeking someone located in North or South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaboration

  • Works closely with location managing directors, responsible agents and artist managers to identify client needs and facilitate progress as needed.

  • Works with marketing team to collaborate on the development of ECE-specific promotional material as needed.

  • Work with each office to determine needs for artist improvement in each geographic market and within various lines of business.

  • Consult with artists on social media presence and formats.

Creative

  • Develops and maintains “Promotional Content Standards Guide” to be distributed and used for ECE Artist promotional material.

  • Attend live performances to determine artists needs to get them ready for promotional video shoot.

  • Monitor progress and update plan of action within projects and the overall creative mission.

  • Research, see live, meet, source, and develop potential new artists to join the ECE roster.

  • Review current artist promo material and make recommendations for updated content.

  • Develop and execute monthly artist newsletter.

Administrative

  • Train artists for the private and public event stage and ECE exclusivity. This could include business guidance, branding consultations, equipment assessments, costuming recommendations, choreography, song list assistance, wardrobe, etc.

  • Maintain and edit the ECE website for artists pages including publishing reviews and uploading content (videos, photos, bios, song lists).

  • File management, organization, and storage of artist promo materials.

  • Ensure internal sales notes are consistent from artist to artist within company approved format.

  • Guide artists through ECE Video Loan process when applicable.

  • Oversee execution of Exclusive Artist Agreements.

  • Organize and review incoming artist inquiries.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE/HAVE:

  • Travel is required as the role oversees and manages numerous projects around the country as well as scouts out new talent.

  • Ideal candidate will reside in the Carolinas, Georgia, or Virginia.

  • 4+ years of industry specific experience. 

  • Involvement in the business of professional cover bands. 

  • Development of the marketability of a product or service. 

  • Proficient project management skills. 

  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas both written and verbally. 

  • Familiarity and comfort with modern technology. 

  • Strong understanding of the entertainment industry for private and corporate events. 

  • Ability to work at a fast pace and multi-task. 

  • Self-motivated personality. 

  • A musician with knowledge of sound, lights, backline, choreography, transportation, costuming, etc. a plus.

  • Experience leading, owning or managing a band also a plus.
